badass laptop

My laptop is the acer aspire v3-571g, here are its specs:
CPU - Intel i5 3210M 2.5Ghz to 3.1Ghz

GPU: NVidia GEforce 630M 2048mb

RAM: 8GB 1330Mhz

HDD: 750GB

Where you going somewhere with this, or did you just want to brag? I also wouldn't be to over confident with an i5 processor. Kinda slow compared to the quad-hyperthreaded i7's

XD i was just kind of saying what specs my laptop had (bragging ) nah, it can run bf3 on low settings at almost 200 fps with the razer game booster turned on, and it can run minecraft with optifine installed easily over 300 fps,earlier today i was playing minecraft, uploading a video and rendering a video to 1980x1080p, minecraft was running at 50 fps. Btw what specs does your pc have?

The two I'm using now are pretty standard,i7 2.2Ghz 8GB RAM, 64x OSs, dual boots with linux. Nothing special. However, I'm building a computer with dual-quad i7's, 8 paralleled 250 GB SSD's, and 32GB (RAM), still haven't decided on my graphics card yet, it depends on which chip set I run, although it's about $5k, so it's a slow process.

if you're spending $5k i'd go for either the 670-690, theres no point in getting an amazing pc if you dont have a GPU to hold it up, when i was deciding wheather to get my laptop or a pc with a quad core 3.4-3.6 Ghz i7 and 8 Gb of 1600mhz RAM, but it only had intel hd 4000, and it costed €130 more.

TLDR: at least get a GEforce 670

unfortunately, atm, it's still in development, but it'll be done by the time I'm ready to buy it.

it's so I can use these higher end programs with efficiency. I have a decent computer now, and sometimes, with enough effects, it can take nearly 13 hours to render a 10 second clip. It makes your life 1000% easier to work with edits and longer videos. I want to use the skills I've developed to do something with marketing or advertising. With a computer like that... the possibilities are endless. It can rip a bluray disc faster than the a fall out of a 2 story building.
