Playstation 3 Getting the Shaft Once Again!

Well, as most of you know, Xbox has had a deal with Activision for some time that they got all of the new DLC for Call of Duty first before Playstation 3. A lot of Ps3 players were excited for the fact that this contract was about to expire for Black Ops 2, meaning that they would actually get the map packs at a fair time if they bought COD ELITE.

I recently found out that Xbox has renewed their deal, and Ps3 users get the shaft again. As someone who was very disappointed with Elite on MW3 since I am a solely Playstation player, I refuse to renew Elite for Black Ops 2. In fact, all of the various people that I have spoken with on Playstation Network also said that they are not renewing Elite.

I get that the makers of COD are a business and want money, but it is sad to say that they will probably lose many of their sales on Elite from the Ps3 users. What is the point when we get the DLC nearly at the same time as regular Xbox users!? Well, I just wanted to hear your guys's input on the matter...

Personally, I think everyone that bought elite screwed themselves. That fact that people believe throwing an extra $50 or however much it was down, would get them any sort of special treatment just shows that Activision knows that they can milk more money out of those people that cant see how ludacris it is to pay that much money for a game. Any game. And did you people that did get elite seriously buy every extra add-on in the past everytime they came out? I doubt it. So why would you think that spending that extra money is any sort of a benefit?

I don't care what anyone says. I'm renewing my elite. It's saved me a lot of money especially since I only payed 20 bucks for it in my hardened edition on MW3. So You all can complain. I don't understand why you do, because when maps come out for ps3 players there is an update for them to fix all bugs reported on xbox version and they don't get that update for another 1-2 weeks after PS3. So no reason to complain, and there contract was never going to end, When they created it before Cod 4, It was for 10 years and that would be in 2016. Also Activision is about to go bankrupt cuz the company that owns them is selling them, and Sony actually has the highest bid on them as of the last week in July when latest update about it came out, Microsoft was in second but a far second, They don't have as much money as sony does because sony has more products to sell then them.

yeah, the company that owns activision is called the Vivendi Group or International, something like that, it's a french multi-media corporation that owns companies in lots of different fields. I haven't heard anything about them selling activision but they've owned it since 2 months after CoD4 released. I wouldn't be surprised if they sold it, a the upper corporate world has been going through some weird fluctuations lately.

Oh and as for buying the Elite Package, i guess I'd get it if that's the only game I played, but I won't be getting BO2 until it's about $10, so like 4 months after it releases, so no need for any premier packages. I don't believe in paying $64.04 (with 7% tax) for a brand new game, especially when that games value will drop quickly. PLus gamefly helps too.

Wait what if sony do buy activision and make cod a ps3 exclusive my god it will be WAR!!

I know a whole lot of people who would be buying ps3's and GB and MLG would shift directions.

GB and MLG already are based on PS3, The pro circuit all games that aren't PC are ps3, if they aren't xbox exclusives. This is because Sony has a deal with MLG. Also Black Ops 2 won't lose it's value that fast. And that company is selling Activision, and EGM talked about if either sony or microsoft bought it that they wouldn't be legally allowed to make it an exclusive since they each have contracts with Activision.

I paid the xtra for elite on both my Xbox and PS3, and don't regret it at all.

I didn't buy Elite as a seperate game or to get a jump on anyone or any number of reasons being banded about the different gaming forums you can see, I bought it as it entitled me to ALL DCL, which saved me quite a bit of money buying the DLC seperately, and, It made me a founder which I now have for life, on any COD game, so its an inverstment as well, of sorts.

ALl I was saying is that GB and MLG are lean towards the xbox side of competition, mlg does a little bit better of a job rotating between the systems. But the ladders on gb's for ps3 are limited compared to the xbox side. For instance a lot of games got removed from the ps3 because it's harder to track private battles and people were cheating on the reporting (look at rfom)

It's not harder to track private matches, Its just on ps3 people game on other websites, such as FraggedNation, and ps3 competitive sites. PSN exclusives also usually have there own competitive system. The MLG stuff in cod on ps3 is more competitive on ps3. I'm a top page team on ps3 and xbox. But it's harder getting there on ps3 than on xbox. Competition is better on ps3. Only thing is not as many teams competing because of the high level of skill. The games also run smoother on the ps3 than they do on the xbox.
