Ip Man (aka Kung-fu Moses)

and I watched it without being dubbed and the subtitles off, and I still managed to enjoy it. From what I can guess it's a chinese movie and it's production was really good.

What I managed to pickup from it was actually a pretty intense story line. So the main character starts off eating dinner with his friend and then fighting him in his house, they have friendly ending, And don't break any furniture. Eventually some delinquent starts fighting all the rich people in town. Ipman beats his a$$ with a feather. War takes over the region and they're invaded by the japanese. They have to flee and end up working in a mine and eventually feather production mill so he can have food for his family. Well his friend is fighting for food against the army in contests. He loses and the Captains right-hand idiot shoots him. Ip man goes balistic and after plowing through ten black belts you're left stunned. The story gets a little complicated but essentialy Ip Man takes down the commander for oppressing his people. So, Ip Man is like Kung-Fu Moses. I'd suggest watching it with subtitles, but to make things interesting turn them off, you'll still be able to get a good idea for what's happening. Check this movie out.

nah, I feel like I saw this movie when it first came out and liked it then too.

this movie was great, donnie yen is one of my favorite kung fu action stars..it had a decent story but the fighting was awesome...

yeah, they really did a good job, he's just so fast it's ridiculous. I've got the second one waiting to be watched. I'll probably post a review tomorrow.

oh its not as good as the 1st one and is kinda like a Fearless remake..i didnt like it to much but hey check it out, would like to know what ya think of it

fearless.... err... that Jet Li movie that got renamed a bunch of times??? or am I getting it mixed up. Or was that unleashed? I can't remember

lol i think all of Jet Li's recent movies have been renamed
