HomeI use a recording software for PC called Bandicam. I think it is better than Fraps, because it doesn't use as much CPU and RAM. It is $2 more expensive, but it is worth it in the long run. Hopefully this helps anybody in a situation whee they don't know which screen capture software to get! A link: www.Bandicam.com

I prefer camtasia studio to use when I'm recording game on my computer. I also use FRAPS to take pictures to never miss a sick amazing picture in BF3.

Yeah. I haven't really researched but what recording software is the best for slow/old laptops? Bandicam still gives me a bit of lag and I was hoping that there was a different one that would be better for older laptops.

Camtasia has yet to cause any sort of lag or slow my laptop at all. So you should try that out.

I don't know if this is right, but when I checked buy to see how much it cost, it said it cost $299?????? I'm guessing it's a typo, but wow...

I tested both and I have to say that in my opinion Fraps is much better, because the www.Bandicam.com sign at the top of every recording is annoing me very much but Fraps got bigger files.
But that is no prblem at all, just delete them after you cutted them
