Marvellous, it seems we can get Supermods and mods come Out of the woodwork and yet when it comes to games nights, 2 on the PS3 one and 2 on the Xbox one, and on both occsions I was one of them, I tired crappy old age gamer.

Sorry Evil and AZN, I don't mean to spoil your feelings on your promotions, but really how long before we have just super mods and mods........think about that one lol

Thank you all. And Star I understand what you are saying and I think that there is merit to your argument as well. I agree that if we do this monthly, then we will have too many mods. I like how the mods can become supermods. That is because in another post it was stated that mods are staff-in-training. So it only makes sense for them to become full staff eventually. But as for addition mods, I can see how that can get out of hand eventually. Therefore I think we should stick to the current mods and promote them when they are ready, and once they are all promoted, unless there is inactivity that requires a demotion of a current supermod/mod, keep a set number of supermods. Just my opinion.

I think we have enough mods/supers now. We should probably think of some other way of rewarding active users.

I just would like to point out, that makes 4 people saying this process might not be best suited for the site. 3 of those are supermods.

How about we set a goal like, for every 50 people you recruit, become nominated to be a moderator or something like that. Then you're actually contributing to the active numbers, and we'd need the staff then.

Something needs adjusting in the way supermods/mods are promoted nominated etc.

I'll admit, 2 maybe 3 so called 'Staff in Training' do not post much, if at all now, but below them is where the real crux of the problem is and why I believe we already have enough, actually, more than enough to cope.

VIP's apart from myself and Daveosity, that's it, no other regular poasters, as for Sponsored players, I dare anyone to find me more than 4 regular posters, if that, it's numbesr that we need, just look at the struggle it is to get a decent game night, the first PS3 one two members, myself and leftbehind, the second xbox one two members, myself and joshb, I believe the fist one was 3 members, I can't recall, points is with so many members we should be turning some away from game nights or at the very least haveing 2 or 3 hosts,

I'm sure you all see the similarity here, not enough regular members signing in to post/sign on for games nights, therefore, not enough members to warrant the supermods.mods we have, I say

Watch somebody prove me wrong lol

These numbers are the reason I've been saying that the Supermods we have are more than enough on thier own to monitor/police the forum, atm, there is no need for moderators, one of the reasons I gave my position up, the other reasons are personal.

Perhaps leave it now until numbers of regular posters grows, like I said, just have the supermods that we already have.

Maybe as a reward for activity, for every 50 posts, the user will get one of their videos uploaded on the forums youtube channel.

I'd go even further, like 1st vid, 50 posts, 2nd vid, 100 posts -->250 ---> 500 --->1000 ----> 2500 ----> 5000 ---> 10000 ----> (10th 20000)

I dont think is neccessary to make it ever increasing. Its no sweat to add another playlist and loads videos into it. Lets be honest here. The users of this site joined to have their channel become more popular. So if you let everyone know that every 50th post, you and in turn, your channel will get a nice dose of exposure, itll keep people posting. If you keep raising the post limit for every subsequent video upload, people will get discouraged and give up on it.

that's might be true, but that is a lot of uploading. I'm all about people helping out, but I know I certainly don't have the time to download someone else's video, make sure the intro is in the video, upload it to the youtube channel, 1-2 times a week for 20-30 users and still have time. I just think 50 posts is to little. Maybe after every 200 posts. I mean gabe and I hit 200 posts each in a week, that's 8 videos to upload, plus the 4 other people who each had 50 posts.

Well as far as the intro goes, they can put that in themselves. If they dont, no upload. 50 was just a guess at the beginning. If people posting that much is that much of a problem, that number can easily be increased. I just think that whatever that number is, it stays steady.

I think it may help to allow supermods access to site statistics, something I brought up with CB, we can't currently access it now. Nor should something like this be retroactive.

I agree it would kind of be ridiculous if we went back and added videos from past posters. But this itself seems like it is a great way of rewarding active members.

Totally wouldnt add past videos. It would just be from when/if it were instated onward.
