Fraps and Audacity

For recording my screen, I'm using Fraps, it's the recording programm for that, but for my speech i'm using Audacity, that is an only audio recording programm and it is free.

Because I'm only playing on my PC, I only need this two programms

you don't have any Editing software? Get one so you can actually render something good.

well for editing I'm using a cracked version of camtasia because the windows movie maker isn't that good for editing audio

Camtasia is good. I use that to screen record too.

Go and get sony vegas, its easy to learn and if reander with full HD.

Audacity is an alright program, but a paid one is probably better for audio,like the other guys said Vegas does everything Audacity does and video editing so if you can buy it, do it. Also, if you plan to record and save for a long while, don't use FRAPS,it does not compress the files, get Bandicam instead.

Agree with you.

Vegas is the best! But you should try and crack it.

if you have problems to crack it, so go and surch on youtube how people do it, it will helps alot.

I downloadet the testversion and it looks very complicated, but the funktions are much better than in camtasia an Windows Movie maker, I think tommorow I'm getting the cracked version

nice, its not so complicated, you just need to sit in for hours and study alittle.

If you think sony vegas is complicated you honestly should just not make videos. It's the easiest software out there.

I didnt say vegas is complicated, i just say you need to sit down alittle to know how vegas works.

Well its almost like camtasia with some more funktions and I said for the first time its compicated but, as Jokky said, if you worked with it for some time it is pretty easy

Getting the cracked version of sony vegas pro is not that easy there is so much steps and things you need to download to get the cracked version. took me a few days to figure it out XD
Fraps and audacity are both i think is pretty good because sometimes i use it.

Why do you need audacity to record your sound when you can do it with fraps. And to record my desktop screen i use bandicam all cracked .

It's because editing my voice, it's much more complicated doing that with a FRAPS recording, with audacity you can do that right after recording and put the two records together after you've done that.
And you don't got any setting oprions for voice recording with FRAPS so if you'r mic maybe is broken, but you didn't notice that, you notice that after the recording and you got to commentate that recording again and then it isn't a Lets Play anymore.
With Audacity, you notice that rightaway, because you see no recording at you'r screen, so Audacity isn't recording your voice.

That's why you do voice check.
Also i say Fraps voice recording is more for live commentary because you can basically talk while playing the game.
It's great to use both 1 for live and other for like Commentating over.
Overall i recommend both because there has a high performance rate to me xD

It's because, FRAPS is laggy, when you use it some hours, and it didn't get enough RAM, the voice is behind the visual, with audacity you didn't got that problem and you can also see who long you are already recording, thats a big advatage too.
But that you can only do, if you are usong too screens on one PC, which is what I do, as seen on my Audacity "Tutorial".
Anyway, FRAPS is good for the beginning, but if you want want really good quality, you should use a seperate audio recording programm

I'm be honest i don't use audacity because it's too complicating it took me like 30mins to finally figure out how to render it O_O
I use my Sound Recorder for my laptop and it works perfectly for everything
