I have a question because someone told me Views are more important than subscriber.

Me personally i feel there more equally but subscriber seem little more important to me.

So can anyone care to give me there judgement on this?

You'll see a variety of opinions for this question, but the bottom line is, If you have avid subscribers, people who actually follow your channel, then the views will follow. If you do things like sub4sub, it doesn't help at all. I have subs for people that I use to play with on RFOM, but I never watch their videos. Also one important thing to recognize is that you should remove some your activity from the feed, I hate seeing every time someone likes or comments on a video just because I've subbed them. I only want to see your new stuff.

The # of views you get on a daily/weekly/monthly basis is how youtube decides if they want you as a partner or wish to sponsor you. You pull in 100,000 views a week, you'll be guaranteed some $$$. But I see those views coming from subscribers, not just hot words and searches.

But you can also do views to yourself, that happend to me (shame on me I know) because I had to edit an video several times so about 10 views of it are mine but No1leftB3HIND is right, if you got aktive subscribers, you got the views Smile Seen on my channel, almost no subscribers, just 3k views

yes, you can give yourself views, or at least you use to be able to, but they aren't counted in the analytics, and youtube knows if you are boosting your own view count, which at most is negligible. and now I've noticed that it doesn't repeatedly count it if you view your own material, it will count it just once. (I think this may be recent, pure speculation though)

You're right, in analytics it just counts one time, I tested it Razz
In my opinion both are at the same level, because if you got subscribers you don't automaticly get views as No1leftB3HIND said, he got some subs on people he just know, but he isn't watching their videos.
But that works the other way round too, as also seen on my channel Sad
One of my Videos got nearly 200 views but I only got 14 subscribes, that means, if you got the views, you don't automaticly get the subs.
What is important for your channel, belongs to what you want to do with your channel, if you just want to have fun (best way to da videos btw) subs are more important, because you got some feedback about your videos.
But if want to earn money with your channel, the views are very important, because ofe more views = more money (Geldgeil on german don't know what it is in english)

Well, this is very debatable. If you get 1,000,000 subscribers and if they don't log on to YouTube, you might as well have no subscribers. I thought quality subscribers were more important, but overall I'll go with views.

I personally havent been bothered with the whole fact of subscribers or views.
I make video's because i like doing it in my spare time & if people watch my video's and enjoy them then thats good & if they dont, then thats ok too.
But i try to get permission from the developers or music artists first before i create my gaming videos so i dont get any copyright issue's if i want to monitize.

1 good tip is to do video's of new games, the longer a game has been out, the longer the larger channels will have to make loads of content thus reducing the chance you're video will be seen if you're channel is smaller.

Thats what I said, if you just make vids for fun, only the subs are important, because normally people sub you, if your vids are good, so you got some kind of feedback

I think views are more important because you can't take back a view, people can sub and not watch your videos, or you get get free subs easily, but views can never be taken away.

I upload some of my rpg video's to other site's and then i put a link to my youtube channel in the descriptions and put " If you wish to see what happens next in my adventures, check out my youtube channel for the next chapter"
Its a good thing to do if you're aiming for a wider audience.

I personally think views are more important. You're not going to get any subscribers if no one views your video and you're not going to get 300 views with only 50 subscribers.

When someone subscribes it means that they're interested enough to return to see your work later on but that's not necessarily always the case. A lot of subscribers will forget about you. Maybe they'll come back once every couple of weeks or so and watch a single video. Just because they're subscribed to you does not mean that they will return to watch your videos at all. Most of your views will come from outside sources.

I was reading somewhere that something like only 3% of iJustine's views actually come from her subscribers. TobyGames has 1,862,726 subscribers and only 100k to 400k per video and most of those views aren't even his subscribers! They're outside sources, search engines, etc.

I'm not saying that subscribers don't help because rest assure when you're as big as someone like TobyGames they sure as hell do but I am saying that most of your views INCLUDING returning viewers come from outside sources. A couple of my subscribers don't even have YouTube accounts but they return every day to see if I've uploaded anything new. Some of them follow me on Twitter (it's even surprising they found me considering I haven't publicly displayed my twitter yet) and I get views from there.

views are how you get paid. Active subs are important. but if you have a million subscribers and never get any views. the subs are pointless

subscribers are important to me because it shows channel growth. Right now im not making money so views are deff nice. and they show my subs are active.

Views matter the most in most cases. You can have 5000 subs and still only get 100 views per video. But most networks demands a certain threshold of views daily/monthly, so i'd say if you're going for partnership the views are most important.
