currently my headset is the TRITTON AX720;

and my microphone is the blue snowball

I strongly suggest getting the Tritton ax720, it's perfect sound quality, comfortable to wear for long and short amounts of time. It is also compatible with the PC, ps3 and the xbox360, computer via usb PnP or audio jack and usb, ps3 and xbox via usb PnP and optical. I purchased mine at argos for €139.99, but you are also able to buy it straight from their website called madcatz

The blue snowball is a condenser microphone, which means it is VERY high quaility. I only suggest buying it is you either have spare money and time, or if you are a loyal PC gamer. It uses a Usb PnP to connect to a Computer/laptop. It cost me abot €50 ($66.99)to buy from amazon. to find their website just look up "blue microphones"

But I record my commentaries with a $18 logitech headset with and actual sock, the kind you wear on your feet, to filter out wind noise. So I think you need to GOML.

Nice XD, i think loads of people do that though, apparently it's really effective.

Wow blue snowball mic.. Nice XD I just use my Turtle Beach X12s and they actually have really high quality mic (even tho desktop mics work a crap ton better xD) but i rly do like my headset cuz it has rly amazing sound quality too

From what I see, those snowball mics are for people that want to try and be shlocky internet radio guys. Like the kind that think spending more money on a piece of equipment will make them be better at what they do.

Lol yeah, I spent more on my mic than u did (i saw you sed like $18, i spent $60) but i see no need in spending like $200 when something like wut i, or u, have works just fine XD

It's funny cause my $40 Samson Meteor Mic is indistinguishably equivalent to this expensive toy. Blue Yeti is highly over-rated. They just slapped a big number on it so people would think it's something special. Consumer studies show that ~ %40 of people take quality into account when buying something expensive, most people assume that because it's expensive that it must be a good product.

Lol before I got my headset, I used to use a $40 logitech headset and it actually worked fine and we had another like $20 one but it broke so we only had one and i was tired of keep switching with my brother whenever he wanted to skype or anything like that so im like "know wut... screw it im getting turtle beaches"

which will in turn eventually break, or become outdated, or something... I don't want to alienate you by saying this, but when you're 15, you don't exactly have tons of responsibilities. When you get a little older and start having to work to keep a roof of your head and food in your belly, you'll see why spending $100+ on a headset is just plain silly, especially when the $20-40 counter part is equally proficient and ends up being more durable. Most high-end stuff is luxury equipment, it's meant to look nice, have cool things to say about it, have interesting but useless features, and most likely degrades quicker. I can't stress enough that people look around. My microphone easily stands against turtle beaches or blue yetis, the tablet I got easily competes with Wacom and the other high-end tablets. Both are nearly a $100 less than the competitors. I use to have a $100 air of blue tooth MP3 sunglasses. They could have songs loaded onto them via usb they had little ear phones that folded up and down. They looked ridiculous, and they only lasted 2 months before they were damaged by a light sprinkle which continued all of 10 minutes. Field testing doesn't lie. I can't stress it enough!!!! Don't by high-end crap without doing your research ~95% of the time it won't be worth the extra money.

Lol yeah I kinda agree with how high end stuff does break quicker (ITS A SCAM RUN FO YO LIIIIFE D:) lol but ive actually had my Turtle Beaches for... actually a while now and they're still just as good as when I got em (the ONLY complaint i have about the turtle beaches that I got is that the wire WAS SO FREAKING LONG!) but the wireless turtle beaches are like frigin $130 something like that and hell no im not buying dat XD but still, its not like the pair i got where INSANELY expensive, (they have more expensive models of the Turtle Beach, of course) but I wouldnt pay for frigin $200 for a blue snowball XD ($60 compared to $200 XD but then again $60 compared to $40) and also my brother paid for like $20 of it but ended up not wanting to use it so i had to pay him back later on when i had the money so in reality i actually paid like $40 at the time then was able to pay off $20 later lol

Everything added to the theory has been proven totally correct. Case in point, the dialect in this thread... Just saying....













But yes. Research is paramount when it comes to spending money on virtually everything there is to spend money on.
