Read an article lately that suggests that the PC as we know it is dying. To me this makes sense, look at how many people own a tablet, a smart phone, essentially a pocket computer. Now lets expand this to pc gaming, and gaming in general. Turns out there is a new "gamer" not the traditional gamer like you and me, but a new gamer who is always on the go, always moving and only playing games when and where they can, yes I am talking about the mobile market. Turns out the gaming industry, and the computing industry are making a change, moving to mobile platforms. More and more apps, more and more games leaving us slightly behind.

What do you think about it all?

Games certainly have gone the more "casual" way but they will also stick to their roots. The reason for all these tablet games is because they are simple to make and easy to capitalize on. Take angry birds for instance it was a simple idea that made millions. Now look at dark souls something immensely difficult that appeals to "hardcore gamers". For everything that is made there is another side to it. Essentially it's the Yin and Yang of gaming. For everything good there must be something bad. I'm not saying these "casual games" are bad because in turn they invite people to sit down and play simple games and then branch slowly off into the wider range of games and might end up becoming "hardcore gamers". The thing to remember is that the way games are will not die out it's just simply that more tablet games will appear in order to make more money.

You make some great points, I know myself and many others will never give up on pc gaming, But I do know that some are worried that the focus has, and will continue to be that of the casual play while I poop gamer.
