Totally agree. The pussification of the country is out of control. Parents can no longer discipline their kids anymore or someone that won't mind their own business will report them for child abuse. So then we end up with a bunch of kids that do whatever they want because they've never been told no.

Then there's the other parents that just dont care and are more concerned about being their kid's friend as opposed to their parent. Everything is in a very odd state of affairs when it comes to kids now. And man that last line really made me sound old.

You have to find a middle ground, as you grow, your kids grow, so do thier own personalities, as they do, you should know how to handle them, how best to get things across to them etc, including the fact bad shit happens in the world today, they should be taught right from wrong that is a given, they should know that there is a line that must not be crossed.

I had those when I was I kid, my kids had them when growing up, and now thier kids have them, doesn't do anyone any harm to have those guidelines, I'd much rather have a gentle guiding hand over a "do as you please" attitude from a parent any day

When it comes to how I feel about parenting is that they need to make boundaries and follow them. In my opinion parents today tend to forget that they are the parent and their children should be listening to them, not the other way around.
