Yes, but not every video made needs to be posted on this forum, that's the problem. People post crappy videos on here, trying to get sponsored? I mean feedback is nice when that's what you're going for, and by the looks of it, that's what most people are here for, but seriously "you don't have to post every video you make".
Some videos are walkthroughs, which have there place (playlists, which is a single post). And other videos may be free advertising for a game, showing all the features, this is called a review. You don't need to post each individual walkthrough. Complete your project, create a playlist, then post it here.
Also if people like your content, they'll more than likely subscribe to your channel, hence nearly eliminating all purpose of this forum.
I don't mean to be harsh, but I'm just saying it like it is. There are people on here that need to participate, especially when they are posting the same video 6x in one day (ahem... Renzy). The purpose of any forum is to create an active community. Without which, one cannot survive. Period.
To motivate people to move in that direction many forums create post limits for certain criteria, and in some locations it's not necessary; but for a site like this, with limited number of paying/viewership sponsors, something needs to be done.
I haven't been here long, but participation is constantly a problem here. Click the button on the
[View posts since last visit] and over 90% will have 0 replies.
So to be complete, what would be the alternative? Just hope that people start doing what's necessary? I'm being serious, what would be another option, other than creating some type of posting limitation, or criteria, to get people to be more active? Because I don't play that, "well it's not a good idea, but I don't have any solution either, so just leave it the way it is" card. When there is a problem, obviously we should remedy it. And you agreed, that there is a problem.
P.S. that question goes to all the people against posting limits.
