GSF Game Nights?

Title. I think this would be a very good idea to have members actually participate in the site and get to meet new people. This might actually boost the traffic of the site. Our first goal is to notify the members that post their videos here and leave about this.

What we could do is have like game nights weekly for every game system (ex. 1st week is 360, 2nd is PS3, 3rd Wii, 4th Online PC Gaming.)

We could choose a host for each system each week on the site, and the host would change as the week will go on. The host is responsible for choosing the game and getting a hold of every member that wants to participate. And make sure the host can choose a day that they would want to play.

What we could also do is throw out the member's GT/PSN/Friend Code/etc. as well as what games they have on the system that they are willing to play.

If there needs to be more elaboration here to understand my point a lot better, feel free to ask. I'm kind of tired writing this and I don't think it made a whole lot of sense.

I think its pretty crystal clear to me. I did try to kinda bring this up a while ago but no one seemed to be interested. Hopefully it will be different this time.

We can do some nice events in the future once things settle down.

I think this is a GREAT idea! I would definetly participate...If only I had High-speed internet to set up online networks. Also, the thing is, I have over 100 games...But over 100 of the games are for PS2..I only have 7 games for PS3, and a couple for Microsoft Xbox. To get back on topic, GSF should definetly host game nights. It would attract more people to the site.

Glad to see people taking an interest. I could start the xbox one next week. We will be playing Black Ops if that is all fine. Meet up Thursday at 9 PM ET? If there are any takers, just reply below so I can remove someone off my list and add you since my list is full atm.

EDIT: Alternate solution for Xbox, if the list is full, why not make a gamertag called "GSF Game Night"? Everyone who has an Xbox and is a part of GSF can add it and we would not interfere with having a full friends list to get a hold of people. I know you can do this as well with PSN. I'll have to ask Devon and bl1i8n2k about the Wii.

EDIT 2: Maybe get someone with an HD PVR and film the game nights and put it on the GSF youtube? It's just an idea. I want to actually have the game nights happen, because it would be cool to actually get to know members of the site by actually talking to them voice to voice.

If anyone wants the Gamertag to be made, just tell me and I'll make it.

I will be down with this on the weekends. Mainly Friday and Saturday nights. I think you pretty much have my schedule figured out anyway Fr0z3n. I think the GSF gamertag is a good idea as well. I think hupit did the same thing and it seems to work out. Also, maybe those that are interested can make their clan tag "GSF" or something, then you can see others that are from the site and connect that way as well. I would also load the games on my channel if I have good ones. They would be recorded with the roxio and have a commentary over them, but they would be there. So everyone that is interested in this, RESPOND!!!!!!!!!!! to this thread.

Made the gamertag for Xbox (add GT: GSF Game Nights) It will start in July. I will try to host the Xbox one. Once we find hosts, I'll try and post about this in another thread. Maybe one in which people view a lot more.

I really want to post a GA about this, but I want to see if CB or DrunkGamer would approve of it.

I will add the gamertag for sure. I think a general announcement is a good idea. I also think, that when this all does get started, we make a new section entitled game nights and people can post in it and let everyone know when and what will be being played. Kind of exciting this.
