Foreward: These rules are still under review, and have been for roughly a month, situations will continue to arise that these rules address, that the previous one's failed to address. Please read them carefully so you are aware of what the consequences will be for certain actions. Read the fine print.
Currently, no moderators have the ability to set awards, or give or remove xp, so please log all actions taken and either the xp will be removed in the future, or will be waived.
Please don't make us pull out the ban-hammer. Read the Rules.
Respecting other users
Respect other users who share their content with you. You may not agree with their topic - likewise, they may not agree with your topic. Launching personal attacks on others is inexcusable. If someone instigates a situation that leads to a ban, they may find themselves under the consequences of the Mod Actions as well.

- Second offence will result in a Perma-Ban
Spamming
Spamming will never be tolerated in the forums; topics or posts only containing an image or a smiley and without text are considered spam, as well as posting one liners or something unrelated to the topic. Spamming threads repetitively is also a no-no. Please do not flood the forum with threads containing only an embedded video or link, doing so in a short period of time will result in use of Mod Actions. (ie. 10 video promotions in 30 minutes, or 20 video promotions in an hour). If you feel the need for people to see all of your work, please just post in the channel promotion section. Moderators also reserve the right in this instance to expedite Mod Actions if the GSF member has either the video spammer award (negative xp) or has not been a contributing member.
Most importantly though, for Mods: use discretion, only use a Mod Action if spamming is repetitively done, it should not be used for single posts or distant occurrences.
Mod Actions:
- First offence will result in a warning, and removal of threads/posts.
- Second offence will result in a second warning, removal of threads/posts, and a loss of 20xp.
- Third offence will result in a final warning, removal of threads/posts, and 3 day ban.
- Fourth offence will result in a removal of threads/posts, 7 day ban and a loss of 500xp.
- Fifth offence will result in a removal of threads/posts and a week or more.
Pornography
Posting any links, banners or any other material that promotes pornographic material is completely prohibited, ultimately we are a gaming/sponsoring community and content of a sexual nature is unnecessary and unwanted. Since there is no legal restriction for signing up this forum there are minors browsing the site, posting pornographic material is not only illegal by may be pursued through legal action based on the amplitude of the situation.

Please do not use higher-case text when posting. Especially when you are posting a new topic.

Discrimination and Swearing
Swearing isn't really prohibited in the forums but you should always use the rights words in the right time. We ask you to use some discretion while posting. However,
in no way, will the usage of racial, ethnical, or sexual discrimination be allowed in our forums, doing so will result in the immediate use of Mod Actions.

Bumping
You are not allowed to bump your own topic for more than one time. Posting in topics that no user posted on for 2 weeks is prohibited.

- Third offence will result in a final warning and a loss of 100xp.
- Fourth offence will result in a 3 day ban.
- Fifth offence will result in a 1 week or more ban.
Posting a topic in multiple forums
Post your videos only in ONE equivalent forum. To elaborate, only post a topic once. Do not post a thread multiple times, even if it does not contain a video. For example: Do not post a Black Ops 2 video review in 'Black Ops 2' Discussion and then turn around and post the same video in Video Promotion Section.
Mod Actions:
- First offence will result in a friendly warning and deletion of extra threads.
- Second offence will result in a warning and deletion of extra threads.
- Third offence will result in a deletion of extra threads and a 3 day ban.
- Fourth offence will result in a deletion of all threads and a one week ban.
- Fifth offence will result in a deletion of all threads -1000xp.
Promoting website/channel/video not in promotion section
Commentaries, Montages, & Promotions of any kind are intended for the promotional sections ONLY. Posts relating specifically to the topic at hand should have relevant text describing or pursuing extra information.
Requests may include videos of something you’d like done, Music videos must include artist information in the thread. Black Ops 2 discussions must actually have the question proposed in text so that a discussion may be formed that is initiated by the Original Poster, or the video must be directed at the GSF community. This holds true for the review section as well. If you made a video reviewing a certain PVR or Headset or Software you must also include a discussion paragraph and any relevant links or citations to the product.
Most importantly all instances of when threads are appropriately placed are not included in these rules, but the instances shall hold true for any un-described occurrences. Keep threads relevant to the sections and do not use non-promotional sections for promotional reasons.

Do not ask for help installing illegal or illegally obtained software.
Asking for help installing any downloaded or pirated software which has copy-write or replication laws is considered a serious offense on GSF. Mainly because many hardworking people have saved money to pay for these expensive programs we use to create videos. If you don’t like it, fight the law. While a noble philosophy of open-source code and the right to tamper with software/hardware may exist for good reasons, it is currently not legal in many countries. For this reason it is our responsibility to prohibit that kind of behavior on GSF.com

Past offences may be overlooked after a certain duration of time. Warnings received will hold true for no longer than 3 months, and after which shall be disregarded.
