What do you guys think about the updated forum rules?

So I updated the rules a while back, and I've been waiting on approval. It's been almost a month so I just went ahead and did it. If I have to face consequences for that down that road, fine, but I think we needed it so we are all on the same page.

Check them out, read it closely (Especially mods), and tell me what you think about the differences and/or consequences.

I personally think we are giving them to many changes. Like 5 levels of scolding seems like to much. This is one situation where I prefer a 3 strikes policy. First time is a warning. Second is 3 days. Third is permanent. We could obviously be more flexible if a person is trying or just has a lapse in judgement a long way down the road. It's pretty obvious that the people that don't care about rules will break them back to back so they deserve no sympathy. And instant perma-ban for the link posters in their first threads as I stated in the other one

honestly, this was a rough draft. I figured 5 chances was more than enough. I like a 3 strike rule too, but sometimes, people don't read. I know people like that can hurt the forum, but after the limited participation that's occurred over the last month, we can use just about everyone. Strike out what you don't like and send me the modified page, if you feel inclined.

I dont dislike any of the rules. Just like the 3 strike rule as stated above. And we just need to add the instant perma ban for posting their channel in their first thread. It'll be up to our discretion about people mistakenly doing it while trying to change. It's petty much just down to you and I now anyways.

Which, I personally find to be very sad, there is a lot of potential in this forum. It just needs a little marketing and the ability to actively change when needed. I'd like to get the networks from youtube involved here as well.

That would be a huge step, but people don't seem to realize that youtube isn't the best at getting your name out there and it does take a great degree of self-promotion to succeed. Forums like this actively seek to aid that promotion through non-monetary means, while other forums ban you for promoting yourself. I am frustrated by all this, but feel a little powerless to do much else.

Hey I'm still here and enforcing the rules as well

I'm thinking cb totally gave up. And gabe you were gone for a while so that's why I didn't mention you. I'll be absent through this week for the holiday

It seems that we have a new "the man". Well, can't wait to work for "the man". So, yeah. These rules are a-ok.
